Рекордные объемы урожая и экспорта российской пшеницы угрожают благосостоянию американского сельского хозяйства. Фермеры США все реже выдерживают конкуренцию на этом рынке, пишет деловая газета Штатов The Wall Street Journal.
По данным издания, за прошедший сельскохозяйственный год Россия экспортировала примерно в два раза больше пшеницы, чем годом ранее, — более 40 млн тонн. Показатель побил рекорды всех стран за последнюю четверть века, передает ТАСС. При этом в США сельхозпредприятия закрываются с невиданной скоростью.
Кроме того, российская пшеница выиграет в случае торговых споров между Америкой и крупнейшими странами-импортерами, если последние введут ответные пошлины на американское зерно. Еще одним преимуществом пшеницы из РФ, как отмечает газета, является ее низкая цена и возросшее качество.
Ранее российские регионы предложили ограничить экспорт зерна из страны. Основанием для таких мер были названы неблагоприятный прогноз на урожай из-за погодных условий (103 млн тонн) и растущий спрос на российскую пшеницу. Кроме того, производители хлеба в России предупредили о резком росте цен на хлебобулочные изделия уже октябрю, напоминает «Русская планета». Это связано, опять же, с прогнозами на урожай, а также с повышением НДС.
